Alejandro Fernandez sets Latin Chart Record

Alejandro Fernandez set the Latin Chart Record by releasing three albums simultaneously, all landing on the Top Ten of Billboard’s Top Latin Albums Chart.

Fernandez released Dos Mundos: Evolucion,  filled with pop tracks, which debuted at No. 2.  Dos Mundos: Tradicion, a more traditional collection, hit No. 3, and a third combo set including both albums entitled Dos Mundos came in at No. 10.

Evolucion and Tradition were No. 1 on the Latin Pop Albums and Regional Mexican Albums, respectively.

This was the first time a Latin artist ever released simultaneous albums in different genres, marking it the only such occasion in the chart’s 16 years.
